“I came to a realization that Siam should have
economy framework that follows socialism theory, which is a
science that is compatible with the current time and place of
Siam, as far as I’ve seen, and as it has evolved during the time
I was studying.”
It is undeniable that, problem of Siam farmer that he
had personally experienced, in combination with knowledge in law
and economics that he had particular interests, became personal
intellectual insight that rooted deeply into the most important,
fundamental problems of Siam at that time.
Summarily speaking, this was the root of his intelligence
and wisdom, which he had gradually accumulated from studying,
starting when he was a young boy in the country. The learning
process took 7 more years until he f nally graduated with a higher
education from the country which is considered to be the role model
of politics and governance, a country that praises ‘freedom, equality,
and fraternity.’

“Paris” Incubation Ground for
the Great Revolution

Mr. Pridi had a remark about the city that he had
an opportunity to visit for higher education, ‘Since the Great
Revolution in 1789, Paris became an incubation ground for
the great democracy revolution for many countries in Europe
and Asia, that is, it fostered custom and tradition, which
are distributed and passed on for a very long time, of both
theoretical and practical aspect, until the time I was a student
in Paris.”
