            country down with it, this made him realized the fact on his
            own, and decided to join in the insurgency.”
                     And  eventually, “…with my intention to serve all
            countrymen, in order to attain the true independency and
            sovereignty of the country, as well as to achieve the true
            economic and democratic prosperity, some of my fellow
            Siamese students and I had found the secret leadership of
            Khana Ratsadon. As we intend to evolve democracy in our
            country, all those revolution theories and all the knowledge
            on required actions that we’ve accumulated from France had
            greatly helped us afterward…”

               The Great Revolution of Siam,
               between 1932 and 1933

                     At dawn of June 24  1932, which was on Friday, of the

            years under the reign of King Prajadhipok (King Rama VII), a group
            of people, which comprised military personnel (army and navy),
            civilians and citizens, who came together under the name of Khana
            Ratsadon, had taken over the country’s government in order to
            change the country’s regime to democracy under the parliamentary
            system, and declared the Constitution, as the country’s master rule
            of government, as any other democratic countries.

                     Mr. Pridi, as a civilian leader of the movement, was
            responsible for drafting the Declaration of Khana Ratsadon, and
            therefore, he was an important f gure in such an unprecedented
            incident of the Great Revolution, that had never happened in the
            political history of Siam.
                     Firstly,  in  political  terms,  the  Declaration  of  Khana
            Ratsadon described the rationality and profound intention of
