State) and at the same time, a teacher at the Law School of the
Ministry of Justice, where he was once a student.
The Joyful Days, the Start of Family Life
On November 16 1928, a marriage between Miss
th
Phoonsuk Na Pompejra and Mr. Pridi Banomyong took place at
Pompejra House. After their marriage, the couple had six sons and
daughters together, namely, Lalita, Pal, Suda, Sukprida, Dusdi, and
Vani.
Miss Phoonsuk was the 5 daughter of Phraya Chaiwichit
th
Wisitthammathada and Lady Peng Chaiwichit (Mrs. Suwahnnasorn).
She was born January 2 1912.

It was quite certain that Miss. Phoonsuk, at the age of only
17 years old, could never have realized that this marriage would
bring her into another page of Thai society, as the wife of Mr. Pridi
Banomyong.
Academic Works
Subjects under his responsibility that Mr. Pridi taught at
the Law School were Civil and Commercial Code on Partnership,
Company, and Association, which is a subject that Mr. Pridi had
directed – f rsthand expertise in the subject. Another subject was
International Law on Personal Case, as well as a novel subject of this
Law School, that is, Administrative Law. As a result, Mr. Pridi was
the f rst teacher of this subject.
Administrative Law
It appeared that Mr. Pridi’s specialized expertise in
‘private business organization’, which he had studied and even
presented a thesis in this matter, was overshadowed by much greater
intention.
